Supported configurations
The device needs to come with the following features:
- Android 5.1
- Root access for apps (SuperSU)
- Built-in Wi-Fi adapter
Other configurations are currently not supported. Contact our support if you're using a different device configuration.
Giada DN72
You'll need a keyboard or a mouse to control the player during the installation process. Plug it in one of the bottom USB ports on the player.
You'll also need a FAT32 formatted USB stick with the signageOS Core App APK file. You can download the latest Core App APK for Giada here.
In order to install signageOS Core App from an APK file you'll need to allow installing apps from unknown sources in system settings.

Open the Settings app.

Open Security settings under the Personal section.

Make sure the Unknown sources option is enabled. This requires confirmation.

Leave by pressing the Esc key (or right mouse button) repeatedly.

Insert your USB stick to the top left USB port on the player. The rest of this guide assumes the USB stick is inserted in this port.

Open the app launcher, then open the ApkInstaller app.

Press the big blue Install button.

On the left side, navigate to USB Memory, USB_DISK2, udisk0.

Select the APK on the right side.

Press the INSTALL button.

Once the installation finishes, press the OPEN button.

Immediately press the GRANT button to grant superuser privileges to signageOS app.

While in signageOS Core App, press F1 key (or middle mouse button) then open SuperSU app from the menu.

Open SuperSU main menu.
- Press Start.
- Press CANCEL when prompted to update SU binary. Confirm by pressing the OK button.
- Press NO THANKS when prompted to "Follow me".

While on APPS tab, select signageOS on the left side and make sure the following is set on the right side:
- Access: Grant
- Confirm any changes by pressing the ✓ (check mark) button.

Go to SETTINGS tab and make sure the following is set:
- Enable superuser ☑ (enabled)
- Re-authentication ☐ (disabled)
- Default access [ Deny ]
- Show notifications ☐ (disabled)

Leave by pressing the Esc key (or right mouse button) repeatedly.

Reboot the player.
While in signageOS Core App, press the F1 key (or middle mouse button), then press REBOOT.

SignageOS Core App should start automatically after the reboot.
Giada DN75

In order to install signageOS Core App from an APK file you'll need to go to Giada app menu and choose ApkInstaller

Press blue icon "Install"

Choose signageOS apk file which is in external device

Allow installing unknown apps on the device

Open the application

Once application is open it will appear a window asking to grant SuperUser rights.

Uncheck the timer option and click Grant

Once application will be installed and granted with SU privileges you will be asked to install additional application Device Management Platform - Small app authorized to perform device management operations by the device manufacturer. The app provides access to these device management features to other signageOS apps.

Press "Install" and again allow to install unknown application.

Once installed click Open

Reboot the player.
While in signageOS Core App, press the F1 key (or middle mouse button), then press REBOOT.

SignageOS Core App should start automatically after the reboot.

If you need a better webview version, update the webview via Box or REST API to the build version ending 00
