Nothing is perfect, and sometimes you need to know what is going on with your device. That's why we used the corner pixel of the display for indicating states of different services. And if that wouldn't be enough, you can turn on debug mode in Box.
Corner-pixel status indicators
Each corner pixel of a display is indicating error state one of the services. When everything runs fine, the pixels aren't used for error indication, and they are displaying content.

---|---|---|
Top Left | White | The device is not connected to our servers |
Top Right | White | The device is not connected to the network |
Bottom Left | White | The device failed authentication |

Bottom Right | White | Applet is loading |
Debug Mode Icons
When corner indications aren't enough, you can turn on Applet debug mode in the Device Setting in Device detail in Box. This feature will show status icons in the top right corner of the display and tells you more about current errors.
