Any signageOS Core App is automatically connected to the signageOS License server. This connection is maintained for telemetry purposes and for basic statistics. It also allows you to switch from Device Plan Open to any of the full-featured Cloud-connected Plans.
What data is gathered
- Unique generated device UID
- AppType (Tizen, webOS, Android,...)
- Irregular health check ping to signageOS server
What if the connection cannot be maintained
- After 1 month there will be a notification on the display
- After 2 months the content will be disabled
How to disable the license connection
You can opt-out from the license connection by paying a perpetual one-time fee per display and saving a unique license key to the display storage via special JS API.
