Samsung Local Firmware Upgrade

If you are having a Tizen display and your Firmware version is lower then 20xx (eg. T-HKMLAKUC-1006.4) you have a pre-production display that might/might not be upgradable. Kindly always check with our support team or Samsung team the compatibility or use a different display.

 

How to check Firmware version on Samsung

To check your Firmware version, use IR Remote control and navigate to Menu -> Support -> Contact Samsung. Check the line Software version and compare the value with our table of supported firmwares for your model.

 

How to upgrade Firmware on Samsung

  1. download Firmware from our repository based on your exact model name
  2. unzip the file into the root folder of your USB flash drive (eg.: F://image/image.md)
  3. turn on the display
  4. plug in the USB flash drive
  5. switch to HDMI input
  6. Press MENU on remote control
  7. navigate to Support menu item and select Software update
  8. confirm the "Search for Firmware n the USB flash drive"
  9. once Firmware is discovered select to update the Firmware
  10. wait until the display finishes the upgrade (might be more then 20 minutes)

Note: On newer models you might be prompted to use USB update only after selecting Software update option without Downloading it from outside source.
